Some Words Don’t Fade

There are moments in life when words are spoken that can’t be taken back.

Not because forgiveness isn’t possible—but because the feeling they leave behind doesn’t just disappear.

Words have weight.

They settle into the heart, sometimes quietly, sometimes all at once.

And the truth is, it’s often not strangers who hurt us with their words—it’s the people closest to us. The ones we trust to be gentle with our hearts.

We all say things we regret. We’re human.

But there’s a difference between a mistake… and words that leave a mark.

I’m learning that protecting your peace means recognizing when something said crossed a line. You don’t need to argue, prove, or explain.

Some words don’t fade.

They change how you feel… and sometimes, how you move ahead.
